Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our PDF tools, privacy, and technical details. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to contact us.

What is FixMyPDF?

FixMyPDF is a suite of free online PDF editing tools that you can use directly in your web browser. All processing happens locally on your device, ensuring your files remain private and secure.

Is FixMyPDF really free?

Yes, all our tools are completely free to use. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, or watermarks on your processed documents.

Do I need to create an account?

No, you can use all our tools without creating an account or signing up. Just visit the site, choose your tool, and start working.

Are my PDF files uploaded to your servers?

No, never. Your files are processed entirely in your web browser on your own computer. They do not leave your device, which guarantees 100% privacy and security.

How can I request or delete my data (GDPR/CCPA)?

Since we do not have user accounts, the only data tied to your visits is an anonymous Google Analytics Client ID. To request access to or deletion of your data, you must provide us with this ID.

Here’s how to find it:

  1. Open your browser's Developer Tools (usually by pressing F12).
  2. Go to the "Application" (Chrome) or "Storage" (Firefox) tab.
  3. Expand "Cookies" and select https://fixmypdf.in.
  4. Find the cookie named _ga and copy its full value (e.g., GA1.1.123456789.1234567890).
  5. Email this ID to us at contact@fixmypdf.in with your request. Without this ID, we cannot locate your data.
Is it safe to use the PDF Unlock tool?

From a technical standpoint, it is perfectly safe as the file is processed on your device. However, you must only use this tool on documents you own or have explicit permission to modify. Using it to bypass copyright protection on documents you do not own is your own responsibility.

Is there a limit to the file size or number of pages?

Because all processing happens in your browser, the limits depend on your device's memory and processing power. Most modern computers can handle very large files (over 100MB), but performance may vary. There are no artificial limits imposed by us.

What file types can I convert to PDF?

Our "JPG to PDF" tool supports a wide range of common image formats, including JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, and GIF.

Which browsers are supported?

FixMyPDF is designed to work on all modern web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your browser.

Why is a tool running slowly?

Performance depends on your device's capabilities and the size/complexity of your PDF. If a tool is slow, try closing other browser tabs, using a smaller file, or restarting your browser. Using a more powerful computer will also improve performance.
