How to Save a Webpage or HTML File as PDF on iPhone
Save webpages and HTML files as PDF on iPhone using Safari — print to PDF or use our browser tool. Free, works on iOS 15 and later.
Saving a webpage or HTML file as a PDF on iPhone is straightforward with Safari's built-in Print to PDF — or for uploaded HTML files, FixMyPDF's converter in Safari gives more control over the output.
Method 1: Safari Print to PDF (Built-In, Best for Webpages)
Open any webpage in Safari on iPhone. Tap the Share button (rectangle with up arrow). Scroll down and tap "Print". On the Print Preview screen, use a two-finger pinch-out gesture to expand the preview into a full-page PDF. Tap Share → Save to Files. Done.
The Pinch Gesture for Print-to-PDF
This is Safari's lesser-known iOS feature: in the Print preview, pinch outward with two fingers on the preview thumbnail. The preview expands to a full PDF view with a Share button — tap Share → Save to Files to save the PDF. Works on iOS 13 and later.
Method 2: Full Page Screenshot as PDF
Take a screenshot on your iPhone (Side + Volume Up). In the preview, tap "Full Page" at the top. This saves the entire page (not just what's visible on screen) as a PDF. Tap Done → Save PDF to Files. Great for saving entire webpages as PDF receipts.
Method 3: FixMyPDF for Local HTML Files
If you have an HTML file (not a webpage URL) — like a downloaded invoice template or a local HTML email — open Safari, go to fixmypdf.in/tools/html-pdf, upload the HTML file, and convert to PDF. This preserves the local file's full layout.
Saving Receipts and Confirmations as PDF on iPhone
When you complete an online purchase and the confirmation page appears in Safari, use the Share → Print → pinch method to save it as a PDF receipt to your Files app. Much more reliable than a screenshot for record-keeping — full text, proper formatting, searchable content.
PDF Saved to Files App on iPhone
All three methods save to the Files app → On My iPhone (or iCloud Drive if enabled). From Files, you can share via AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or move to an app like GoodNotes, Notability, or PDF Expert for annotation.
After Saving as PDF on iPhone
If the saved PDF is large, compress it on iPhone before emailing. Or if you need only part of a long webpage PDF, use our split tool on iPhone to extract specific pages.
