How to Convert PDF to PNG Free Online (Lossless, All Pages)

Export PDF pages as lossless PNG images online for free — no account, no watermarks, no upload to servers. Every page as a separate PNG.

PNG is the lossless image format of choice for PDFs with sharp text, diagrams, and line art — no JPEG compression artefacts. FixMyPDF's PDF to PNG tool converts every page to a transparent-background PNG online, free, without any server upload.

PDF to PNG vs PDF to JPG — Which to Choose?

JPG is lossy — it introduces compression artefacts that make sharp edges slightly blurry. PNG is lossless — every pixel is reproduced exactly. For text documents, data tables, and technical diagrams, always choose PNG. For photographs and image-heavy PDFs where file size matters more than pixel-perfect accuracy, JPG is acceptable.

How to Convert PDF to PNG Online

Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/pdf-png. Upload your PDF. Select resolution (150 DPI for standard, 300 DPI for high-quality). Click "Convert to PNG". Download the ZIP containing all page images as individual PNG files.

Resolution Options Explained

150 DPI produces images suitable for screen viewing and web use (files around 200–400 KB per page). 300 DPI is print-quality — text is razor-sharp even at high zoom (files around 1–3 MB per page). For archiving or professional use, 300 DPI is recommended. For website thumbnails, 150 DPI is sufficient.

Transparent Background Support

Our tool renders PDF pages with a transparent background — the white page area can be configured as transparent PNG, which is useful for overlaying PDF content on coloured backgrounds in design tools or web pages.

No Watermarks on PNG Output

The PNG images are clean — no FixMyPDF watermark, no branding. The output files are suitable for professional use in presentations, websites, and design software. Each image is exactly the PDF page content at the resolution you selected.

File Size Consideration

PNG files are significantly larger than JPGs for the same content because PNG is lossless. A 10-page PDF might produce 25–50 MB of PNG files vs 5–10 MB as JPG. If you need smaller web images, convert to JPG using our PDF to JPG tool instead.

After Converting to PNG

PNG images can be imported into Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or any design tool. For web use, compress them with a PNG optimiser (like TinyPNG) to reduce file size without quality loss. To convert images back to PDF, use our image to PDF converter.
