How to Reorder Pages in a PDF (Drag-and-Drop, Free)
Rearrange PDF pages into any order online for free — drag thumbnails to reorder, then download. No account, no software, any device.
Sometimes a PDF's pages are in the wrong order — chapters out of sequence, appendices before the main content, or a scanned stack that came out shuffled. FixMyPDF's reorder tool lets you drag thumbnails to any order and download the rearranged PDF, free, in your browser.
How to Reorder PDF Pages
Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/reorder-pages. Upload your PDF — all pages appear as thumbnails. Click and drag a thumbnail to its new position. Repeat until all pages are in the correct order. Click "Save Order" to download the rearranged PDF.
Drag-and-Drop Interface
Each page appears as a numbered thumbnail. Press and hold a thumbnail, then drag it left or right (or up/down on mobile) to its new position. Page numbers update in real time as you drag, so you always know the current order before downloading.
Reordering vs Reversing vs Splitting
Use Reorder when you need a custom arrangement (page 3 moves to position 1, page 7 moves to position 4, etc.). Use our Reverse tool when you just need to flip the entire order (last becomes first). Use our Split tool when you want to extract a section into a separate PDF.
Fixing Scanned Documents with Jumbled Pages
A common scenario: a multi-page document is scanned in the wrong order because the paper stack was shuffled. Upload to the reorder tool, compare each page thumbnail to the original paper document, drag to correct positions, and download a properly ordered PDF.
Reordering Chapters in a Combined Report
When assembling a report from multiple contributors, you might receive a merged PDF with chapters in the wrong order. Rather than re-merging, upload the combined PDF to the reorder tool and drag chapters to their correct positions — much faster than starting over.
Works on Mobile and Desktop
The drag-and-drop interface works with mouse on desktop (click-drag) and touch on mobile (press-hold-drag). On mobile, it's easier to reorder a small number of pages — for large documents with 50+ pages, desktop drag-and-drop is more efficient.
After Reordering
Once reordered, you can add page numbers to the correctly-ordered document, compress it for sharing, or add a password. All free, all in-browser.
