How to Import a PDF into Obsidian as Markdown

Step 1: Convert
Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/markdown-to-pdf. Upload your PDF. Download the .md file.
Step 2: Import into Obsidian
Copy or move the .md file into your Obsidian vault folder. Obsidian will automatically index it. You can then link to it from other notes using `[[filename]]` syntax.
Cleanup Tips
PDF-extracted Markdown often has line breaks mid-sentence. Run a find-and-replace to join broken lines. Obsidian's editor makes it easy to clean up formatting quickly.
