Open Chrome or Edge and Load the Tool
Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/crop-pdf in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on your Windows PC. Upload your PDF by clicking "Select PDF" or dragging from File Explorer. Processing runs locally — nothing is uploaded.
Set Your Crop Margins
Enter values (in points, mm, or pixels) for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins to remove. A live preview updates as you type. For a typical scanned document with wide white borders, try 20–30 points on each side as a starting point, then adjust.
Preview Before Applying
The page preview shows the crop result before you commit. Verify the content you want to keep is all within the new boundaries — especially check that text near edges isn't clipped. Adjust individual margins independently until the preview looks right.
Apply and Download
Click "Crop PDF" and the trimmed file downloads to your Windows Downloads folder. Open it in Edge to verify — the page dimensions in the status bar should reflect the reduced size. Right-click → Properties to confirm the smaller file size.
Cropping Scanned Documents from Windows Scan App
The Windows Scan app (Microsoft Store) and older WIA scanners often produce PDFs with substantial grey or white borders. Our crop tool removes these borders efficiently — set equal margins on all sides for a symmetric crop, or adjust each side independently for asymmetric scans.
