How to Resize PDF Pages on iPhone (Change Page Size, No App)
Scale PDF pages to A4, Letter, or custom dimensions on iPhone in Safari — no app download, no account. Works on iPad too.
iPhone's PDF tools don't offer page resizing. FixMyPDF's resize tool in Safari lets you scale any PDF to a standard paper size or custom dimensions on your iPhone — useful before printing or sharing documents where the page size matters.
Open Safari and Load the Resize Tool
Open Safari on your iPhone and go to fixmypdf.in/tools/resize. Tap "Select PDF" to choose from the Files app. The tool displays current page dimensions so you know what you're resizing from.
Select Target Size
Tap to choose A4, Letter, A3, A5, Legal, or Custom. For Custom, tap the width and height fields and enter values in mm using the number keyboard. Confirm your selection before tapping Convert.
Download and Share
Tap "Resize PDF" and the resized file downloads to your Downloads folder in Files. Share via AirDrop, Mail, or save to iCloud Drive. The page dimensions in the result match your selected target size.
Use Case: Resizing Before Printing on iPhone
When you receive a PDF designed for A4 but your printer only handles Letter (or vice versa), resize on your iPhone before sending to the printer. This prevents the printer driver from scaling unpredictably and ensures the document prints as designed.
Resizing PDFs for iPad Reading
Very wide PDFs (A3 or landscape A4) are awkward to read on an iPhone. Resize to A5 or a portrait custom size before importing into Books or GoodReader — this makes the text larger relative to the screen and eliminates the need to pinch-zoom constantly.
Works on iPad
The resize tool works identically on iPad. The larger screen makes it easier to preview the page dimensions and verify the result looks right before downloading.
More iPhone PDF Tools
After resizing, compress the PDF on iPhone if it's large, or add page numbers for navigation. Both tools are free in Safari.
