How to Split a PDF Into Individual Pages (Each Page as Separate PDF)
Extract every page from a PDF as its own separate file. Free, browser-based — no upload, no software. Download all pages as a ZIP.
Sometimes you need every page of a PDF as its own file — for archiving, distributing individual pages separately, or processing each page independently. FixMyPDF's split tool can burst a PDF into individual pages and download them all as a ZIP in one click.
When Do You Need Individual Pages?
Common use cases: a 12-page product catalogue where each page is a separate product sheet; a scanned form set where each form goes to a different person; individual slides from a PDF presentation; or extracting each chapter of a book that was merged into one file.
How to Split Into Individual Pages
Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/split, upload your PDF, and select the "Split into individual pages" option (or "Every 1 page" in the N-pages mode). Click "Split PDF" — the tool creates one PDF per page and packages them all into a ZIP for download.
File Naming in the ZIP
Each individual page PDF in the ZIP is named sequentially: page-1.pdf, page-2.pdf, page-3.pdf, and so on. This makes it easy to sort and identify pages. If you need custom names, rename them after extracting the ZIP on your device.
How Large Can the Source PDF Be?
Since processing happens in your browser, the main limit is your device's available RAM. A 100-page PDF with images can use 200–400 MB of RAM during splitting. On modern phones and computers with 4+ GB of RAM, this is usually fine. Very large PDFs (500+ pages) may be slow on older devices.
Extracting Just a Few Pages Instead
If you only need a subset of pages (not all of them), use custom page ranges instead: type "3, 7, 12" to get only those three pages as separate files, or "3-7" to get pages 3 through 7 as one file. This is more precise than splitting everything and picking through a large ZIP.
After Splitting — Processing Individual Pages
Once you have individual page PDFs, you can rotate pages that came out sideways, compress pages with large images, or merge selected pages back in a different order.
Privacy Note
Your PDF is processed entirely in your browser — no pages are uploaded anywhere. The ZIP is assembled in browser memory and downloaded directly to your device. Your document content stays completely private throughout the process.
