Technical Explanation
The browser's File API reads the PDF from your disk into memory. A WebAssembly build of a PDF processing library (compiled from C++/Rust) runs inside the browser tab, processes the in-memory PDF, and outputs the split result — again into memory — which is then offered as a download. No network I/O.
