How to Split a PDF on iPhone (No App Download)
Extract pages from a PDF on iPhone in Safari — no app needed. Split by page range, extract individual pages, and download results to your Files app.
iOS doesn't have a built-in PDF splitting feature, and most split apps require a subscription. FixMyPDF's split tool works in Safari on any iPhone or iPad — select a PDF from your Files app, specify which pages you want, and download the result.
Open Safari and Go to the Split Tool
In Safari on your iPhone, navigate to fixmypdf.in/tools/split. The interface is built for touch — large buttons, clear inputs, and easy file selection. No app download, no account required.
Select Your PDF
Tap "Select PDF" — iOS will open the Files app picker. You can select a PDF from iCloud Drive, local storage, or any connected service like Google Drive. The PDF loads into the tool where you can see the page count and thumbnails.
Enter Your Page Range
Tap the page range input and type the pages you want. Format: "3-7" gives you pages 3 to 7; "1, 5, 9" gives you those three individual pages; "1-10, 20-30" gives you two separate output files. The on-screen keyboard makes entering ranges quick.
Tap Split and Download
Tap "Split PDF" and the results download to your iPhone's Downloads folder (accessible in Files → Browse → Downloads). For multiple output files, you'll get a ZIP — tap it in Files to extract the individual PDFs.
Splitting a Scanned Multi-Page Document
If you scanned a multi-page form into one PDF and need to share only specific pages (e.g., your signature page on page 5), enter "5" in the range field to extract just that page. This avoids sending the entire document when only part of it is needed.
Works on iPad Too
On iPad, the split tool shows a wider layout with the page range controls and preview side by side. You can use Split View to have Files open alongside the tool, making it easy to check page numbers before entering your range.
Related iPhone PDF Tools
Once you've extracted the pages you need, you can compress the result on your iPhone before sharing, or merge it with another PDF. All tools are free and work in Safari without any app downloads.
