How to Convert PDF to JPG on Windows (Free, No Software)
Export PDF pages as JPG images on Windows 10 or 11 in Chrome or Edge — no Acrobat, no installation. Download all pages as a ZIP.
Windows' built-in tools don't offer a PDF-to-JPG conversion path without a workaround (Print screen, Snipping Tool, or Paint). FixMyPDF's PDF to JPG tool gives you a proper, high-quality conversion of every page in Chrome or Edge — no software to install.
Open Chrome or Edge and Load the Tool
Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/pdf-jpg in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on your Windows PC. Upload your PDF by clicking "Select PDF" or dragging from File Explorer.
The Screenshot Workaround vs. Proper Conversion
Taking a screenshot of a PDF open in Edge (using Snipping Tool or PrtScn) gives you a low-resolution image of whatever is visible on screen. Our tool renders each page at 150–300 DPI and produces clean images at full document resolution — no screen elements, no resolution limit.
Select Quality and Convert
Choose High, Medium, or Low quality. High is best for images you'll print or use in presentations. Low is fine for web thumbnails or quick sharing. Click "Convert to JPG" and the tool processes all pages.
Extract the ZIP in File Explorer
The images download as a ZIP. In File Explorer, right-click the ZIP → Extract All → choose a destination folder. You'll find individual JPG files named page-1.jpg, page-2.jpg, etc. Drag them to any Windows app (Word, PowerPoint, Paint, Photos) for further use.
Using PDF Images in Microsoft Office
Once extracted, JPGs can be inserted into Word (Insert → Pictures) or PowerPoint (Insert → Pictures) on Windows. This is useful for embedding specific PDF pages into a presentation or report as visual references without embedding the whole PDF file.
Converting PDFs for Web Use on Windows
If you're a web developer or content creator on Windows needing to show a PDF page on a website (as an image, not as an embedded PDF), convert it to JPG here, then compress the image in a photo editor or online tool for optimal web performance.
After Converting on Windows
If you want to convert the images back to a PDF, use our JPG to PDF tool on Windows. Or if you want the PDF pages as PNG (lossless) instead of JPG, our PDF to PNG tool is available too.
