Why Preview's Rotation Isn't Always Permanent
Preview applies rotation via a PDF "viewing preference" flag that not all PDF readers honour. When another reader (Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive PDF viewer, Windows Edge) opens the file, it may ignore this flag and show the original orientation. Our tool writes the rotation into the page's actual transform matrix — universally respected.

Go to fixmypdf.in/tools/rotate-pdf in Safari, Chrome, or Firefox on your Mac. Upload your PDF by clicking "Select PDF" or dragging from Finder.
Select Pages and Rotation Direction
Choose to rotate all pages or specific pages. Then select rotation: 90° clockwise (landscape documents scanned sideways), 90° counter-clockwise, or 180° (upside-down pages). Click on page thumbnails to select individual pages if you only need to fix certain ones.

Fixing Scanned Documents That Come Out Sideways
The most common use case on Mac is fixing scans. If you scan a portrait document on a flatbed scanner and it comes out landscape (rotated 90°), use our tool to rotate all pages 90° clockwise or counter-clockwise until the document reads correctly.
Rotating Specific Pages Only
If only pages 3 and 7 in a 20-page PDF are sideways, you don't need to rotate the whole document. Click to select only those pages, apply the rotation, and the other 18 pages remain untouched. This is faster and cleaner than rotating everything.
