How to Sign a PDF on Android (No App Download)

Add your signature to a PDF on Android in Chrome — draw with your finger, type, or upload a signature image. Free, private, no app needed.

Android's built-in PDF tools don't support adding signatures, and most signature apps on the Play Store are subscription-based. FixMyPDF lets you sign a PDF with your finger in Chrome on Android — draw, type, or upload a signature image, then download the signed PDF.

Open Chrome and Go to the Sign Tool

Open Chrome on your Android phone and go to fixmypdf.in/tools/pdf-sign. Tap "Select PDF" to choose your document from the Android file picker — from local storage or Google Drive.

Draw Your Signature with Your Finger

Tap "Draw" and sign your name in the signature canvas using your finger. On a phone screen, use a slow, deliberate stroke for the best result. A stylus gives a more natural handwriting feel. Draw in the canvas area, then tap "Use Signature" to apply it to the document.

Type or Upload as Alternatives

If finger-drawing doesn't look good, tap "Type" and enter your name in a cursive signature font. Or tap "Upload" to select a photo of your handwritten signature from your gallery — this often looks the most authentic on Android where touchscreen drawing can be imprecise.

Position the Signature on the Document

After choosing your signature style, drag it to the signature line on the PDF. Pinch to resize. The document is visible beneath the signature so you can position it precisely.

Download the Signed PDF

Tap "Download Signed PDF" — the file saves to your Downloads folder. Open Files by Google or your file manager to find it, then share via Gmail, WhatsApp, or save to Google Drive.

Legal Note for Android Users

Electronic signatures added this way are legally valid for most everyday documents in the US (ESIGN Act) and EU (eIDAS). For high-stakes legal documents, bank documents, or notarised paperwork, check whether a certified e-signature provider is required.

More Android PDF Tools

After signing, you can password-protect the signed PDF on Android or compress it before emailing. Both tools are free and run in Chrome without any app installation.
