How to Split a PDF on Android (No App Download)
Extract pages from a PDF on Android in Chrome — no app install, no subscription. Enter page ranges and download split PDFs to your device.
Android has no native PDF splitter and most Play Store options are ad-supported or paywalled. FixMyPDF's split tool runs in Chrome on any Android phone — upload your PDF, type the pages you need, and download the result without installing anything.
Open Chrome and Go to the Split Tool
Open Chrome on your Android device and navigate to fixmypdf.in/tools/split. The interface is touch-optimised with large input fields. Tap "Select PDF" to choose a file from your device or Google Drive.
Select the PDF from Android Storage
The Android file picker opens. Navigate to your Downloads, Documents, or any folder. If your PDF is in Google Drive or other cloud storage linked to Android, you can select it directly from the picker without downloading it first.
Enter the Page Range on Your Keyboard
Tap the page range input and type your range using Android's keyboard. Examples: "3-7" extracts pages 3 through 7; "1, 5, 9" gets those three pages; "1-10, 20-25" produces two separate output PDFs. The number keyboard makes entering ranges quick.
Download the Split PDFs
Tap "Split PDF" and the result downloads to your Downloads folder. For multiple output files, you receive a ZIP — tap it in the Files or Downloads app to extract. Share the individual PDFs via Gmail, WhatsApp, or save to Google Drive.
Extracting One Page on Android
If you just need one specific page from a PDF — like a signed confirmation page or a certificate — type that single page number in the range field. You get a single-page PDF ready to share without the rest of the document attached.
Battery and Performance Notes
Splitting a short PDF (under 20 pages) on Android is fast — typically 5–10 seconds. Longer documents take more time and battery. For very large PDFs, make sure Chrome isn't running in the background (keep the tab active) and connect to charger if needed.
More Android PDF Tools
After splitting, you can compress the extracted pages on Android before sending, or rotate any sideways pages. All tools are free and run in Chrome — no app needed.
