How to Watermark a PDF on Linux

Add a text watermark to a PDF on Linux without any software install. Free browser tool.

Add a "Confidential" or custom watermark to a PDF on Linux — no pdftk or LibreOffice macro needed. FixMyPDF handles it in the browser.

Open Firefox or Chrome

Navigate to fixmypdf.in/tools/watermark-pdf in your Linux browser.

Upload the PDF

Click "Choose File" and select the PDF from your filesystem.

Enter Watermark Text

Type your watermark (e.g., "Confidential", "Draft"). Set font size, opacity (e.g., 30%), and rotation angle.

Apply and Download

Click Apply. The watermark appears on every page and the PDF downloads immediately.

Alternative to pdftk stamp

pdftk can stamp a background PDF as a watermark but requires creating that background separately. FixMyPDF does it in one step in the browser.
